The Children's Quilt 2016
With the assistance of Simon Mall Properties, Secretary of State John Kerry, Senator Linda Dorcina Forry and Massachusetts State Representative Marie St. Fleur WIN presented the American Alabaster Quilt for Haiti with The Permanent Mission of Haiti at the United Nations. The quilt expanded from a Massachusetts state project in 2010 to the international launch of the "Raise Your Hand for Haiti" awareness campaign for victims of the Earthquake on the island nation.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Witherspoon Institute is poised to expand WIN scholar's focus this season in raising awareness for children of disasters around the globe with the launch of the Children's Quilt 2016.
The Children's Quilt is part of the Witherspoon Institute's community world leadership project under the (SLIP) Strategic Leadership Investment Plan. SLIP teaches youth a life-long lesson of giving focused on collective efforts that impact local and world community. For details, please take a moment to view the U.N. Haiti Summit Newsletter below:

Thanks for the continued support of our leadership programs 2018.
This season we are looking forward to continued collaborations with our partners Hibernian Hall and community outreach partner New Hope Baptist Church to present Unto This House:The King of Kings is Born- The Musical.

The Witherspoon Institute (WIN) is an internationally recognized charm school and community leadership Think Tank for youth. Entering our 12th year of service, we pride ourselves on our global gold standards and unequaled reputation for community impact with a focus on creative arts development featuring ballroom dance.
WIN is dedicated to the development of personal and collective success! To reach achievements you must first create then reinforce a mindset of not can do but "will do" spirit.
WIN accomplishes this major goal through a curriculum of developmentally appropriate interpersonal business and social skills which are instilled to provide tools to succeed in multi-level environments.
In 2016 WIN began working more closely on performing arts presentation through theatre. A small theatrical offering was presented as a 30 minute presentation and in 2017 a full theatrical presentation of Unto This House: The King of Kings is Born was presented with children of WIN, community artists and members of the church community as spearheaded by New Hope Baptist Church. Many thanks to Reverend Kenneth Simms and First Lady Shareen Simms for their dedication to the arts and community leadership.
